In the world of sports, competitive edge is “the” driving force of human nature for high performing athletes. It is a determinant in an athlete’s ability to produce winning results and operate with optimal functionality at all times. Most athletes spend their careers focusing on primal indicators such as training and recovery for improvement at exceptional rates. Through professional training exposure, they become well versed in mastering methodical blue prints for development of speed agility, strength, and sport specific fundamentals.

There is an untapped opportunity to optimize both peak performance and post injury rehab outcomes by matching training overload with both active and resting recovering methods through prescribed Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) treatment and prescribed usage of medical grade compression garments. MLD is complex multi directional therapy technique that increases the flow of lymph fluid by more than 10 xs the normal rate per minute, and increases lymphocyte production. When the lymphatic fluid is free of cellular debris, it can effectively eradicate toxins that prevent the athlete’s body from smooth operations and deliver healthy nutrients for optimal performance. Overall mobility and range of motion, pain management of muscles, joints, and arthritic pains are improved.
When preparing for surgery, 2-3 sessions of MLD treatments will cleanse and drain the tissue making the skin healthier for the doctor to make incisions. Not only that, it stimulates the immune system and the parasympathetic nervous system for faster recovery and minimized stress from worries or anxiety about surgery. During post injury rehabilitation, a minimum of three MLD treatments can begin with 48 hours. MLD treatment will start to cleanse and clear foreign particles that can interrupt lymph transport. Residual edema and debris can be eradicated quickly even before bruising and edema form to accelerate the healing process, cutting rehab time from hip, shoulder, and knee replacement surgeries, breaks or sprains, and tears from (6-9) months to (6) weeks to (3) months. Adding deep tissue massage is also recommended to continue accelerated healing and break of fibrotic tissue.
Sound good yet? Wait until we get to the benefits of wearing medical grade compression garments being prescribed by physicians from the US to Europe to include; increased circulation and improved blood flow, increased oxygen to muscle tissue, reduced pulled muscles and less exercise induced muscle soreness, less lactic acid buildup in the legs during exercise, improved energy, performance, recovery, and injury prevention, as well as, reduced shin splints and calf cramping.
